I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on the Pan 53WX42, along with a progressive DVD player. I was originally interested in the 47" unit, but the extra inches really did make a difference to me.
So, first question. Does anyone have information (however shady) on whether BB/CC will have this particular TV for sale on Black Friday? Or, perhaps the Toshiba 50" TV, which with a 10% discount would be in line with the Panny in terms of price.
Second and more important, I've heard anecdotal evidence that DirecTV (non HDTV) doesn't look that great on this TV. What's the verdict? I expect to watch TV maybe 80% of the time.
