I bought this unit months ago and just got around to messing with the sound set up. I was curious to know the preferred dbs(?) to set each of the speakers to. I'm totally clueless.... Currently i have the front left and right set to +4, the center to +6 and the surround to +7. Sub to +4...please please help me with suggestions.. Thanks fellas!!

The system should be configured based on your specific room considerations and listening position; there are no correct numbers. What you want to do is get a calibration disk and an SPL meter and adjust accordingly.

Thanks! i figured that would be the answer. I didn't know i disk like this existed. ...

Yeah, I think so. Left front is 0db. Center, depending on the movie is -2 to +4/+6db. Right front is -10db (-8db if I have a fan on.) Surround right is -8 (-6 if I have a fan on.) Surround left is +2db. And subwoofer is usually +6db. It seems to be pretty good for me. It sure took a long time to get it set good enough.
