It will be released in 2018, we're currently looking at all our options. It's a surprise additional expense, so we need to go back to where the "stretch" error was made and fix the issue. And due to the 2 hrs. 45 mins running time, it won't be cheap - we could've cancelled the release and got our advance back, but decided against it.

I mean this sincerely - thank you from the bottom of my heart, mind, and soul for all the efforts y'all are putting into The Big Country.

And another huge thanks, Mr Lime. I'll be a Day One purchaser for my favourite of all Westerns ... well, that and 'High Noon'! The current release is to my eyes totally unviewable. The movie did deserve better.
And I'm still waiting patiently for those Lina Wertmuller releases .....

Krakatoa East of Java was the last Cinerama title heavily promoted in the US. Although it's world premiere was in Tokyo 1/9/69.

Thanks for sharing that premier info. I was coming up on 7 years old when it came out so I don't recall it playing in the sticks where we lived.. I see Roger Moore and wife in one of those photos, along with Christopher Lee. Bummer they are both passed on now......

I concur with Allansfirebird who has articulated his gratitude without exaggeration;
indeed, it is far better for KL to stretch their dollar, than it is to stretch our screen.
Truly, Mr. Lime, thank you for your efforts in eradicating those jarring flaws of transfers past.
Great stuff and well worth the extra wait.
