I have a friend, a doctor (doing a 2nd-year residency at Ochsner), who just evactuated to Houston last night. She, along with many other doctors, was hanging in and helping with the efforts to evacuate their most critical patients, before attempting to get out themselves. P.S. - I know that one some Katrina threads have been closed for various reasons. I hope that creating this one isn't a major faux pas. If so, my apologies.
