I thought I'd post this for the newbies who buy DVD's in the store. When you look on the back of the old Columbia/Tri-Star DVD's they only say FULLSCREEN/WIDESCREEN, but give no indication if it is 16x9 or not.
Well these are 16x9!!!

Because then I get people saying...Well Duh look on the back of the box! :)
I did it this way BECAUSE some are NOT LISTED AS 16X9,when they actually ARE! :)

OK, let me have another go:
All widescreen CTHV DVD's are anamorphic, eventhough they might not be labeled as such.

Any exceptions besides the current release of Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

John, none of the CTS discs are labeled as "anamorphic" or "enhanced for 16:9". (There's probably an exception or two out there, but in general, CTS doesn't list this feature.)

They have been for about a year and a half now. The first line of the special features list says "Digitally Mastered Audio and Anamorphic Video".
It's the first line on all the Special Editions. But the older ones didn't mention this.

You could just say that most every widescreen C T/S DVD is Anamorphic and there are very few exceptions.
If it says Widescreen you will 99$ of the time be getting anamorphic with C T/S DVDs.
That have been quite good about this even from the begining.

Another non-anamorphic from CTS is Velocity Trap.
There are also a few number of non-OAR DVDs, presented in full-frame or pan and scan only.
