OK, I'm new to all this amp stuff and I have a question. First, lets say I have a Denon 2802 receiver (90W x 6). Now I want to add a 2 channel Rotel amp to power the 2 main speakers. The 2 channel amp is 50W x 2. Does this mean I now have 140W going to each of the main speakers? Also, I have a pair of Paradigm mini monitors as front speakers, is this too many watts for these since they are only rated at 15-100 watts??

Thanks for the help

Adding the external amp to the main preamp outputs does not add to its' power totals. If you use the 50W amp to drive your mains, connected to your receiver's main preamp outputs, you will have 50W driving your mains.
