This sounds very promising! I do hope this technology makes it to consumers in the 2 year timeframe. It would really give HDTV a huge boost and make it more affordable to the masses. Perhaps by then I'll be ready to replace my 65" Toshiba widescreen with one that doesn't take up as much space!

Just as a followup, I found RealVideo of a new story one of our local tv stations ran this morning regarding Motorola's announcement of the carbon nanotechnology. It includes Motorola demonstrating a small prototype screen.
