Just felt like making a list for movies with rowing in them.
I know Skulls and Emperors Club have Rowing in it.

The Vikings
Moby Dick
Spartacus
BEN-HUR
The Wicker Man

Okay, probably not what you were thinking of, but all of those do have rowing in them. :)

A River Runs Through It. (Or are you using some Canadian meaning of rowing that has nothing to do with boats?)

Try "Rowing Through", which I believe came out in 2001. It's about the guys training for the '80 Olympics.

Check out Alfred Hitchcock's classic "Lifeboat". It takes place mainly on a lifeboat, so I'm sure they're doing alot of rowing!

Even Holes has a little bit of rowing in it (although maybe not the type of "rowing" that you're looking for).

I believe he is looking for the SPORT not just any old rowing (as some posters humorously noted), sculling as its sometimes called.

Otherwise I would mention Sunrise, which has lots of oars to water action but not the sporting version.

There is a rowing plot keyword at IMDb, and from it I found the one that I was thinking of but couldn't remember the name...True Blue.

There are several others you can find that way but most are shorts, TV films, or documentaries.

Some of the non-doc features - Blondie Goes to College (42), All-American Sweetheart (37), The Boy in Blue (86 - the Nic Cage film Robert was thinking of), Brown of Harvard (18), Queen of the Night (2001), Rowing Through (96 - mentioned already), and A Yank at Oxford (38).

There have to be many others since Emporer's Club and Oxford Blues (another I also remembered) don't have the genre/plot keyword for rowing attached to them (which is rather odd considering the plot for Oxford Blues which even has rowing listed in the plot summary at IMDb).

The opening shots of The Exorcist III featured rowing. Later, a murder victim is discovered nailed to a pair of oars(no, not aspect ratios ;)).

OK, focusing on the sport, these are all off the top of my head, and I could be misrembering the rowing in them, but I think it's in:

The Way We Were
Sliding Doors
The Paper Chase
The World According to Garp

I haven't seen some of these for a long time, so if I'm wrong, sorry.

Geez, Mike, how fragmented our tastes are getting.

I suppose you only want to watch them (hehe), if they are in OAR? :D

I guess I should have been more clear in my post. I
meant Rowing as in the sport also known as sculling
and sweeping. It was around 3 in the morning when
I started this thread so cut me some slack.
