Thanks again for all the replies.

I just saw Lost Highway last night on HBO/Cinemax(not sure which) and that is definantly a mentaly challenging movie and I am not sure what to think about it yet.

I have seen about 10 minutes of Pi(on the train and reads the mans newspaper I think) but I was busy plus I wanted to see it from the beginning.

Why does it seem like so many people have trouble understanding Pi? I could be interpreting the film incorrectly, but I think it is pretty easy to understand.

If you want challenging movies in the sense that you find yourself mentally struggling to figure out what the heck was going on with the technobabble or what ever spawned the movie to be made, you might check out:
Battlefield Earth
Town & Country
Godzilla
Independence Day
You'll find yourself scratching your head over those questions for months; and that may be more mentally challenging then any thoughtful film can hope to get you
