this is my favorite album that has come out in the past 2 years +. Wonderful album from the artist Madlib on Blue Note records. The album is a bunch of remixes to old jazz classics on Blue Note with a mix of hip-hop. Madlib is a genius....anybody check this out? it came out about 2 weeks ago and has slowly become one of my favorite albums...THis is a must have for any Jazz fan. This is sorta like tinkering with films... you know, colorizing black and white ones, making soundtracks into phony stereo, cropping to make widescreen. I prefer the artists original version of these recordings (as he or she wanted them to be) . Looks like they only use recordings by artists who are no longer alive.... they can't complain. Not my cup of tea.
