I don't believe Apple would abandon their current phone sizes either. However, I will be very disappointed if Apple makes larger phones, not because I begrudge users their preferences, or enjoy seeing other customers disappointed with a product category that doesn't serve them.Ronald Epstein said:The wonderful thing about Apple moving to larger phones, if that
turns out to be the case, is that there will be choices for everyone.
You can keep the size you like and allow those of us that want a
larger phone to have what we want.

If you go back to the original telephones, the two piece ones, you are naturally holding up one wrist towards the face when talking. But, seriously, it would be uncomfortable to talk Dick Tracy style for any length of time without an earpiece (the talking part itself is not such an issue as a mic in "speakerphone" mode would work just fine at arms length. )You know, other than the fact that I think people would look like dopes talking into a watch you are on to something. The vast majority of people say that the phone part of the iPhone is the least used part of it. Make the iPhone into an iWatch that you always have with you, put a killer camera on it, and you could divorce the phone from the tablet form factor and push real tablets as the post PC device that complements it. I don't see that as a strong possibility but it's not an impossibility.
