Very excited about completing "The Road" films on Blu-ray. I hope "The Paleface" finds it's way on Blu soon, since both the sequel and remake have been released.

Fantastic news! From The Big Country special edition, to The Outer Limits, to The Night Stalker/The Night Strangler, to Jimmy Stewart westerns, and now more Road pictures...what a great year it's been for Kino releases / announcements!

While it's unlikely a "substantial" number of Kino's Universal releases will be new to home video, Kino is releasing the first time ever release of Universal's Foxfire (1955) with Jane Russell and Jeff Chandler and hopefully, there will be a few more surprises like Foxfire in the mix!
HOLD BACK THE DAWN.

The Black Windmill (1974) with optional English subtitles
• Audio Commentary by Filmmaker and Historian Mike Siegel
• Interview with Cinematographer Ousama Rawi
• 6 Radio Spots
• Animated Image Gallery
• Reversible Art
• Theatrical Trailer

(1974) Color 106 Minutes 2.35:1 Rated PG
Screen legend Michael Caine (The Wilby Conspiracy, The Holcroft Covenant, The Whistle Blower) is a British secret agent targeted for death by friend and foe alike in this riveting tale of mystery and suspense directed by the great Don Siegel (Dirty Harry, Charley Varrick, Madigan). This breathless story of international intrigue finds a determined Caine taking up the revenge trail when ruthless gunrunners kidnap his young son and demand a king’s ransom in uncut diamonds for the boy’s release. With each new lead Caine’s chilling quest becomes increasingly deadly as he begins to suspect that one of his colleagues is in league with the merciless abductors. Donald Pleasence (Halloween), Clive Revill (Avanti!), John Vernon (The Outlaw Josey Wales), Joss Ackland (White Mischief) and Catherine Schell (The Return of the Pink Panther) are among those involved in the spine-tingling, high voltage chase that ends at the infamous Black Windmill. One of the many highlights of The Black Windmill is the rousing score by composer extraordinaire Roy Budd (Get Carter, Kidnapped).

We've so far announced THE BLACK WINDMILL, DESERT FURY, FOXFIRE, THE MIDNIGHT MAN and NAKED ALIBI. All except for THE BLACK WINDMILL, are available for the first time on home video in the America. THE BLACK WINDMILL was released on VHS in the U.S.

We 6 more titles to make their home video debuts in the U.S. and 1 which was previously released on VHS, but never on DVD or Blu-ray.

RACE FOR THE YANKEE ZEPHYR (1981) aka Treasure of the Yankee Zephyr
(1981) Color 91 Minutes 2.35:1 Rated PG
Ken Wahl (The Soldier), Lesley Ann Warren (Cop), Donald Pleasence (The Black Windmill), George Peppard (Cannon for Cordoba) and Bruno Lawrence (The Quiet Earth) co-star in this action-adventure yarn about a group of people in search of a missing plane with a cargo of $50,000,000. Barney (Wahl) and Gilbert (Pleasence) are local hunters with an ancient helicopter who first find the submerged wreck of The Yankee Zephyr. Sally (Warren), who runs a local mission, is persuaded to invest in their search—on the condition that she can tag along. Unbeknownst to them all, Theo Brown (Peppard) and his gang of mercenaries are watching and waiting for their chance to move in on the treasure. Treachery and hilarity go hand in hand as these unlikely soldiers of fortune vie for the vast wealth of The Yankee Zephyr—in this most entertaining and exciting adventure directed by David Hemmings (The Key to Rebecca) with a rousing and memorable score by Brian May (The Road Warrior).

A bit of trivia about Revolt of the Slaves: Rhonda Fleming's love interest, Ontario-born Lang Jeffries, actually went on to be married to Fleming for all of about 18 months (1960-62).

But the most interesting thing about him (IMHO) -- according to the IMDb posting on him -- was that he was said to have been one of only three survivors out of 177 soldiers in his unit who landed at Inchon in fall 1951.

His first break was the 1958-60 US TV series Rescue 8, and he went on to have a busy career starring in Eurospy movies throughout the mid-to-late '60s. His career petered out in the '70s and he died at a young 57.

A credible actor, he deserved better roles.

Anyway, kudos as always to the good folks at KL for unearthing rarities like these.

I'm in the same boat! I remember seeing this on cable a few times back in the '80s. This is awesome news, along with Revolt of the Slaves! This has been a stupendous week!

National Lampoon's Class Reunion (1982) with optional English subtitles

• NEW Interview with star Gerrit Graham
• NEW Audio Commentary with director Michael Miller and stunt coordinator Dean Raphael Ferrandini moderated by Filmmaker Douglas Hosdale
• KLSC Trailers

Color 85 Minutes 1.85:1 Rated R
From National Lampoon and screenwriter John Hughes (Weird Science, National Lampoon’s Vacation) comes this very funny teen horror parody set in the hallowed halls of a boarded-up high school. It's been 10 years since Lizzie Borden High School's class of '72 graduated, and everyone—the preppies, the hippies and the in-crowd—has returned to reminisce over good times past. But classmate Walter Baylor has returned too—with a vengeance. While the rest of the gang is misbehaving at its alma mater, Walter, who was a misunderstood freak then and a certified psychopath now, is still not over a prank played on him a decade ago and out to wreak havoc of a different sort. Roger Corman alumnus Michael Miller (Silent Rage, Jackson County Jail) directed the hilarious cast that includes Gerrit Graham (Used Cars), Michael Lerner (Barton Fink), Miriam Flynn (National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation), Stephen Furst (Up the Creek), Zane Buzby (Up in Smoke), Art Evans (Die Hard 2: Die Harder), Misty Rowe (TV’s When Things Were Rotten), Blackie Dammett (Doctor Detroit), Anne Ramsey (Throw Momma from the Train) with soap opera legend Jacklyn Zeman (General Hospital) and Rock-n-Roll icon Chuck Berry. National Lampoon’s Class Reunion will make you scream and shake... with laughter!

I'm very happy to see the news about Race for the Yankee Zephyr. Thanks to Kino for continuing to release Blus for the films starring the underrated Ken Wahl.
