Kino Insider: Will Storm of the Century include the opening and closing credits for each of the 3 parts as originally aired? I have the original DVD but was disappointed when I discovered it didn't have the credits and separation as 3 parts. It was all mashed together like one overlong movie and I never watched it. I feel these mini-series are better when watched as separate viewings for each part. Its very tedious all at once. I will gladly repurchase if this is complete with 3 separate parts.

Nightmare Beach (1989) with optional English subtitles
• Audio Commentary by Film Historian Samm Deighan
• Nightmare Rock: Interview with Composer Claudio Simonetti
• Includes both English and Italian Audio
• Reversible Blu-ray Art
• Theatrical Trailer

Brand New 4K Master! From Umberto Lenzi, notorious director of such Euro-sleaze classics as Paranoia, Seven Blood-Stained Orchids, Spasmo, Eyeball and Cannibal Ferox comes Nightmare Beach, a shockingly gory tale of a madman in a motorcycle helmet who is taking out young co-eds all over the sparkling sands of South Florida during Spring Break. As the body count creeps up, Miami detective John Saxon (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Black Christmas, Evil Eye) tries to keep ahead of the curve in this carnage-packed slasher gem from the maestro of macabre. Featuring a rollicking score by Goblin’s Claudio Simonetti (Suspiria, Dawn of the Dead, The Heroin Busters) and co-starring the great Michael Parks (Kill Bill: Vol. 1 & 2 and TV’s Then Came Bronson).

Baby Blood (1990) with optional English subtitles
• Audio Commentary by Film Historian Lee Gambin and Film Critic Jarret Gahan
• Includes both Original French and English Audio
• Theatrical Trailer

It’s Time to Feed the Baby! It is a voracious parasite from the dawn of creation, surviving centuries in search of the one thing it needs: to be born of a human. But when this cunning creature slithers inside a sexy circus performer (voluptuous French starlet Emmanuelle Escourrou, Lady Blood), it demands gallons of fresh blood to grow stronger. Now this reluctantly expectant mommy and her chatty mutant fetus are off on a cross-country killing spree, where pre-natal care means violent carnage and the ultimate mother’s milk is Baby Blood! Also known as The Evil Within, this French shocker is now presented totally uncut and uncensored with all its infamous womb-raiding, gore-spewing and flesh-baring beautifully restored in HD! Co-written and directed by Alain Robak (Adrénaline).

The Monster (1994) with optional English subtitles
• Brand New 4K Master
• Audio Commentary by Film Historian and Critic Peter Tonguette
• Theatrical Trailer

From Roberto Benigni, the legendary star, writer and director of Johnny Stecchino and Life Is Beautiful! And as the darkness approaches, is the killer now stalking her? Pamela Franklin (The Legend of Hell House) and Michele Dotrice (The Blood on Satan’s Claw) co-star in this unsettling shocker directed by Robert Fuest (The Abominable Dr. Phibes). Just curious - for titles that just went out of stock like Lost Highway and Nixon, are these out of stock in that “we’re getting some more sent over in the next few days” way or in the “we have to get more pressed, gonna be a few weeks” way?

Either way my order is in and I have no doubt those discs will be well worth the wait.

It means the consumer warehouse is out of it, but the main warehouse still has stock. It takes a few days to restock.

The Mind Benders (1963) with optional English subtitles
• Brand New 4K Master
• Audio Commentary by Film Historians Howard S. Berger and Nathaniel Thompson
• Reversible BD Art
• Theatrical Trailer

When the Dark Side of the Mind Is Opened, Can It Ever Be Closed Again? A government scientist commits suicide while clutching a briefcase full of cash, and the police accuse him of being a Communist spy. But when his friend Dr. Henry Longman (Dirk Bogarde, Accident, Modesty Blaise) suspects that the death may have been the result of brainwashing, he decides to prove his theory by subjecting himself to sensory deprivation. Can the doctor resist the experiment’s sadistic side effects… or will he fall under the control of The Mind Benders? Mary Ure (Where Eagles Dare) and Wendy Craig (The Servant) co-star this classic 1963 sci-fi thriller directed by Basil Dearden (Dead of Night, The Man Who Haunted Himself) that went on to influence Ken Russell’s mind-bending Altered States. Written by James Kennaway (Tunes of Glory) and beautifully shot by Denys N. Coop (Billy Liar) with a rousing score by Georges Auric (The Wages of Fear).

Been a slog lately going through mediocre to just plain rotten movies (though I always appreciate Kino's deliriously copious release schedule that obviously appeals to many film collectors), but QUEEN OF SPADES is a gem. Subtly horrifying by the end, and Anton Walbrook (THE RED SHOES) is always worth a watch. If this looks as good as the Kino DEAD OF NIGHT release, I'd recommend it heartily.

YES! This, Dead of Night and The Mind Benders are the sort that float my boat! Still hoping for Story of Ruth or the like one of these days, too.
