I'm probably doing something wrong, so apologies, but upon doing a search, I can't find the old thread for this release (though I'm sure there was one), so I'll just ask a quick question here:

The R2 has appalling player-generated captions and subtitles throughout, which are made worse by the fact that some of them aren't even displayed long enough for them to be read, requiring lots of rewinding and so on - does the R1 have the original burnt-in captions, or does it suffer the same fate in this regard?

Thanks Arnie - I suppose, at least with the R1 running at the proper speed, you'll have yours captions on screen for a few frames longer than ours. Might make them easier to read. Awful, really.

richard, that's the dvd i have from cd-wow
be warned, you'll only find the audio commentary on the region 1 dvd. all other regions don't have it, but the region 3 has english dts
