Kenwood Remote works intermittently?? (1 Viewer)

Same thig happened to my slightly older remote (was a 407 or a 409 series receiver). I started using a universal remonster amd forgot about it until my receiver exploded.

Exploded may be exagerating. it made a loud "Pop!" and was ever-after silent.

Could someone who has resoldered the IR sensor on the VR-507 please help me out? I am not sure where to look for the solder joints. I have removed the top cover and removed the screws that hold the faceplate on. The ribbon cables are still connected.

Please help..
