In the record store today I noticed a whole bunch of remastered CDs for Joe Satriani. I picked up Not of this Earth because I didn't have that album to begin with.

Has anyone compared the remasters to the old ones?

Yeah they sound much better, i used to have an old copy of Surfing with the alien and the remastered is more full sounding and is alot clearer.

Sony Music's remastered version of Surfing with the Alien easily beats the original Relativity Records version. However, the MFSL version beats Sony Music's remastered version.
