Hello everyone,
I have been trying to put together a 6.1 surround speakers and so far I have boston acoustics vr950 for main, vr920 for center. I've been really debating which surround speakers would fit my living room which isn't too big, about 13x11. I've been thinking to put vr-mx for my surround and vr-m/ex for my rear channel but those speakers around roughly around $400 per speaker which is way out of my budget area for surrounds. Can anyone tell me if vr940 for surround speakers would be adequate to finish up my setup with vr-m/ex for rear channel?

thanks

Jin Lee,

It's my opinion that the VR-M series are in a completely different league than anything else Boston Acoustics makes. Since you're already using the VR 900 series, I would consider buying two sets of 940s for surrounds (the extra speaker could then be used for 7.1, if so desired) and this should save you some cash.
