I met Tippi Hedren last night at the Hollywood Bar and Filmworks downtown. They showed a special screening of The Birds. Ms. Hedren signed autographs, took pictures, and held a question/answer session before the film. Following the film, she took more questions, provided trivia, and had a trivia contest. I met up with her after the events and thanked her for coming. She is a warm and gracious lady with a soul of steel. She is also still stunning.

I was actually surprised to see her in "I Heart Huckabees" when I rented it a couple of weeks ago. She's still looking pretty good.

I think I was most amazed at how tiny she is. She's thin, but she has a tiny frame. Her eyes are piercingly beautiful. And it was great to meet a star who is so down to earth. She talked about making the movie as if it were something that everyone gets to do.

Did you ask her what Hitchcock asked her that made her never want to work with him again?



Probably not. But still, pretty cool man.
