I didn't like the first one at all, and when I saw the preview in front of SW:EpIII, I wondered why they'd make a sequel. So, on a whim, plus a day that I got off early from work (!), I went.
Weak story. Even weaker than the first. Outlaw driver reduced to a glorified chauffeur for an overprivileged, rich brat. Concept is a rip-off of the "Riding Bean" anime: which did it better. Outlandish, over-the-top action scenes. Ventures into "Superhero" territory. Immersive soundtrack. Conclusion: All style and no substance.
At best, a rental. Unless a person is a completist type of collector.
Regarding the "Superhero" comment, I thought that there were bits that started to tread towards the most recent Bond outings. Or should I say, the Bond producers were starting to head down this path.
I liked Transporter 2 for what it was. Non-sensical mindless fun. And I enjoyed Jason's performance.
