how to hook up subwoofer (1 Viewer)

My receiver has just one subwoofer output. just one single coaxial cable. some of these subwoofers i see now have multiple coaxial inputs. whats the deal?

I think it makes them backwards compatible with older receivers (though I can't think of an older receiver that would need those) or maybe they think "stereo" subwoofer output will arrive someday, who knows. Just pick one. Either one will do. I always use the Left one. Some subs have "Mono" labeled on one of it's inputs which should be used.

Some of those jacks aren't inputs, they're outputs for daisy-chaining multiple subs rather than throwing a splitter on the output cable from the receiver.
