How do the HGS series and Paradigm Servo 15a servo circuits compare?

from what i read, the servo controlled velodynes have lower distortion limit (limiter will-kick in earlier to minimize distortion) compared to paradigm. other than that, i have no idea of how the electronic circuits compare.

Velodyne uses a chip on the woofer that compares the input signal to the movement of the cone. Any difference in the two is corrected by the servo/amp.

Paradigm uses feedback from the woofers electrical changes to the amp to compare input and movement.

For a great example of the Velodyne working, start tapping the woofer with your figertip with it turned off. Continue

tapping and switch it on.
