Bill Hunt is on to discuss his site The Digital Bits, how he got started and where he sees the industry going:
  • How did you get started doing the site? How has it changed over the years?
  • DVD or DIVX?
  • Bluray or HDDVD?
  • How do you add reviewers?
  • Where do you stand on streaming? Are you 100% discs only still or do you dabble with streams? Are you subbing to any services like HBO Max or Disney Plus?
  • What's your own theater like?
  • Are you a movie goer when there isn't an ongoing pandemic or do you strictly stick to home viewing? (Sam's back to A-List with Nobody and Raya and the Last Dragon, plus Mortal Kombat tomorrow!)
  • What films that haven't made their way to disk yet do you most want to see?
  • What do you think is the next step for home theater, what would you like to see?
  • Do you think consumers have a strong enough voice in the hobby? Do sites like yours help give that voice a megaphone at all?
  • What do you wish your readers understood about your job better?
  • When are we going to do another hollywood or vegas meet up =) Missed connections: The Birthday Bash with incognito celebs!
  • State of the cinema and home theater post pandemic
Plus Good Bad and Ugly (jaja!)

Listening. Really enjoying Bill Hunt's back story and discussion on the state of the industry. I've just recently started browsing Digital Bits again on a somewhat regular basis. The recent spate of older movies getting 4K releases is interesting, and I'm kinda watching for those to wishlist.

I do like the practical conversations of how are people managing services. Jumping in and out. Subscribing to just one or all of them. Chasing deals and new-sub deals. Apps to figure out what service to use to watch what you like. :)

OK, this version should be fixed. I have no idea how it got cut off and nobody noticed the last 15 minutes cut off but we got it fixed I hope!

One person noticed. That's why I asked if there was a GBU, 'cause it wasn't there.

Yeah but it wasn’t clear that’s what you meant sorry. If you had said “why does it cut off in the middle” I’d have fixed it right away, I thought you were asking before you actually listened to it

next guest lined up. Royalty! :)

I thought I was losing my mind, which is why I didn't go into it further. You said it was there, and I had no idea where it was. Instead of risking letting everyone else know I was losing it, I figured I'd just keep quiet.
