Yeah it got moved there yesterday during cleanup and I was being lazy and didn’t move it back. It’s not permanent and it’s wicker so it didn’t make any major impact on the sound. It’s back to the coffee table now

Listening right now to the conversation on high frame rate. I like the idea of using 24 normally and then using HFR for action sequences or other special sequences. Doug Trumbull tried to do this with Brainstorm: the original plan was to have the narrative portions of the film on 35mm and the Brainstorm device sequences in 70mm Showscan at 60 fps. He eventually had to settle for a simple 35/70 hybrid, where the 70mm sequences were represented on 35mm prints as 2.35:1. Would be worth considering for a remake.

They have the old master and may not be aware that a newer one exists for them to ask for. That’s not uncommon for Amazon’s subscription service.

Heres what's really gonna bake your noodle: Kaleidescape has over 400 movies in 4K -- and full bitrate IIUC -- that are not released on disc!

The downside is a full-blown system is circa $6000. Plus movies.
