the shop i use has a bandsaw that will cut through 36" of solid wood.

You would still need 24" of clearance on each side of the blade.

Hi Brett,
I'm wondering why you chose the sealed 24" cube? I'm sure it depends on what you're using it for along with space considerations. I just thought I'd share my experience with the Tempest in Adire's recommended MidQ sealed and vented Alignment enclosures. The MidQ is a compromise between music and HT. It does both well but neither exceptionally. I've since set up a separate music system so I put the Tempest in the 214 liter vented enclosure which is much better for movies without being overly "boomy". Either way, the set-up you've described should "WOW" you. Have fun!

It will be mostly for music...and it seems to me if you want a vented box you have to make it bigger...just that's how it seems...
