Need some help, Onkyo tx nr 801 vrs yamaha dsp-a1 ? What’s your opinions

Can you be a bit more specific in what you are planning to use this for? What type of content? Do you need any features or is it just as an amplifier?

I want to set up two separate systems.
One for “home theater “
And the other for music .
System for music I plan on using
Just the receiver and a turn table ,
Just two speakers (cerwin Vega d7 )
For “home theater “ I have
All Polk speakers
Rt1000p towers for front
Psw10 sub
And Polk rears and center
So trying to figure out what is better placed where .
I have both the Yamaha , and the onkyo

I would use the Onkyo for your theater setup, and the Yamaha for the music setup.

The Onkyo will have better support for audio codecs while the Yamaha should have the better stereo amp.
