Hello again! I first joined HTF back around 1999 when I first started getting into DVD but I guess my account got purged for lack of use. I am getting back into physical media in a big way as the streaming experience has degraded so much. I am also in the market for a new TV since the Vizio (I know) recommended by Wirecutter is currently on its last leg, but I'll post about that on the proper sub-forum. Good to be back.

Welcome back, Damon! Hope you keep us updated with your ventures as you mentioned.

With the Vizio, also know that Walmart just bought them for $2.3B, 2 weeks ago, for fascinating way to compete with amazon.com believe it or not - all shopping related. That said, I bought a 55" Vizio in 2009 (for my brother, when I got him into high definition), and never had a problem with it. That was a long time ago for technology, though. Again, keep us updated.
