Hello in Squishy, stroke survivor sitting on my butt and given my father's old hifi stuff and wow, now I'm hooked and started building a system. I need help so I'll be asking noob questions as I learn.

Fluance RT85 into Ifi Zen
Amazon link into amp, thinking about optical into DAC (that's one of those questions)

Cambridge axr85 (music)
Sony strdh590 5.2 (video)
amp/speaker switch

speakers-
fronts: Kef 103.2 (given to me )
center: Sony sscs8
rear: Cambridge Soundworks MC300 (from a newton system?) (given to me)
sub: Cambridge Soundworks P1000 (1000w sounds great) (given to me)


I really like how my Frankenstein setup is going any advice is welcome. I like Jazz and Hard rock, been expanding the vinyl since setting this up.

Hello Sean and welcome to the HTF! I'm glad you are enjoying your system. I also have an RT-85 turntable and Kef speakers that I like a lot. I'm currently using a spare AVR as my amp until I decide which route I want to go with an integrated. I'm listening mostly to jazz on vinyl with some other stuff sprinkled in.
