HD tuners and the GWIII (1 Viewer)

I was thinking on buying the 50"er but I noticed it does not have a built in HD tuner. How big of deal really is this, if most viewing is STD cable and some DVD's? Oh yeah and some PS2/gamecube.
How much are the tuners for this TV? I have seen them from $42-$600.

Any other LCD's screens out there 45" - 50" under $3000?
The panny, not sure if I like the speakers on the side.
What about LCD realiablity?
Buy an extended warranty?

I wouldn't get an extended warranty; the odds you'll need an expensive repair out of warranty are fairly low. If you do, then likely it just washes out the cost of buying the warranty in the first place, or maybe a slight loss. But in the most likely case that you don't, you are up big. Long run you are much better off just not buying warranty on any electronics, paying for repairs out of the money saved.
