I am specifically looking at the NAD T562 vs the T541i. Will the T562 sound as good on Cd's as the 541 for CD's? Has anyone directly compared the two? Or for that matter, in general with some other brand, would I be giving up sound quality to get a DVD/CD combo vs separates? I know people swear by separate amps and pre amps, I wonder if the same applies for audio sources as well.

There's been a lot of discussion about both the general topic and the NAD players. Try these threads on the CD/DVD player issue; they were found by searching in this forum for threads that have "CD" in the title:

Why use a separate CD player and DVD player? Use DVD player for CD??
Are CD Players becoming obsolete?
Getting a DVD player, should I sell my CD player?

These threads were found by searching for threads that mention NAD:

Just got the NAD C541i...........
Are all CD players created equal?

Additional threads can be found by repeating the searches.
