This is just TOO big for my apartment. I bought a smaller 10" sub to replace this, and even that seems too big......Anyway, I can't even use it without a complaint coming from the neighbors. Retail price is $799. The original plate amplifier had a known design flaw and all A5-350's with the same 500w amplifier eventually stopped working. I installed a Class A/B subwoofer plate amplifier instead of repairing the original....The newer plate amp pumps out a true 275 watts. The difference between 500 and 275 is max 1.5db of higher output at max, not even noticeable. Actual dimensions are ~19" x ~"25" x ~"25" and it weighs 108lbs. Rated at 18-100Hz, actual in room response is around ~15hz! You will need 2 people to pick this up, it is too big for one person to carry.
