Fox is broadcasting their football in 5.1 today for those of you with HD capability. Nice touch.

I'm in D.C., and I'm getting 5.1. I got the info from the display of my Anthem AVM-20.

If it makes you feel better, it's not really that different than PLII Movie. There's not a ton of directional fx in football.

Our Fox affiliate in Detroit only broadcasts in DD 2.0, so DPLII was the best I could get (same for the CBS HD broadcast).

Is ABC planning on a DD5.1 broadcast for the Super Bowl? Our local ABC affiliate does transmit 5.1.

No 5.1 in New York City, but the fly-over sounded pretty amazing even in Pro-Logic (totally freaked my dad out).
It's amazing how much better CBS' real HD broadcast of the AFC looked than Fox' bogus 480P NFC broadcast.
