The Poll section is calling as we speak, but my current favorite happens to be meatless:

Fresh sliced-tomato, onion, green pepper, with extra (100% fat) Mozzarella cheese.

Jeff, quite perceptive.

First, I'll answer with my faves: Italian sausage and onion on a thin-crust pie.

But don't eat just now, as this ride over to "Polls" should be taken on an empty stomach!

- Pepperoni, mushroom and green pepper
or, if I'm feeling a tad exotic...
- Artichokes, feta cheese and black olives

Standard:

Extra cheese and pepperoni.

If I went a deluxe place like California Pizza Kitchen, I'd get...

Canadaian bacon, 4-cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan, and pepper jack), jalapeno, pepperoni, black olives, and deep dish crust.

Mmmm... Pizza...

Up here in Toronto, I usually order a large pizza with Double Cheese (love that cheese!), pepperoni and bacon strips. Easy on the sauce please (too much tomato sauce gives Moe heartburn).

Tates good for breakfast too!

Moe.

Pepperoni and black olives. Sometimes I add Italian sausage and/or mushrooms. No contact of any kind with green pepper-it permeates everything. I dust it with garlic powder, crushed red pepper and parmesan cheese.

I partake on occasion of a pizza I call the PBS Special...

PBS stands for Pepperoni-Bacon-Sausage.

It's greasy as anything, but Gods almighty, it's dee-lish!

Give it a shot if you're into it.

Sincerely,

John "Looking forward to the food in Florida" Kilduff

Coming from the pacific northwest and being raised more or less on the coast....I love smoked oysters on my pizza. Shrimp and smoked salmon as well. But the oysters are the favorite.

I also like roasted garlic...full cloves. I absolutely loved the Pepperoni Rostadoro from Round Table pizza....I counted 14 cloves of roasted garlic on one slice. YUM!

Cheese - yep my favorite is plain cheese. A good thin crust is nice too.
Other than that. Beef and onion is a nice mix or maybe Italian Sausage and onion.
I know what I want to eat tonight

Jalapeno and Onion...

Great for the breath -- a couple slices of this and you have to be careful about knocking someone out while breathing on them!

FYI on Pizza Toppings.
I worked a Dominos in the early 80's. The most popular toppings in order were :
pepperoni
sausage
beef
extra cheese
mushrooms
ham
onions
green peppers
black olives
green olives
hot peppers (ok these are the banana peppers .. not so hot)
anchovies
Most common combos were sausage and pepperoni then pepperoni and mushroom. The most expensive topping is anchovies followed by extra cheese then ham and the rest of the meats. Cheapest were the veggies - banana peppers cost about 3 cents per large pizza.
In case anyone wanted to know :)

To quote someone from another thread: "How can you have a favorite (pizza topping)?" :D
It all depends. Go for the pepperoni pizza. Ooodles of pepperoni slices covering the top o' the pie, getting crispy.
Then there's the Ham & Pineapple pizza.
Then Sausage/Onion/Mushroom.
Of course, there's just a cheese pie - good for a change of pace.
Too many combinations to narrow it down to just one. "It's all good"
Scott - I hear ya on the cheapness. A friend was a manager of a Domino's around here and he always complained that the locals would only order meats on their pizzas..thereby him not making as much per pie. Of course, when I got my free pies from him, I'd do the same.
:D
