I have two questions dealing with expanding the home theater setup I currently have (2.1) to a true 5.1 system. I recently acquired a receiver (Panasonic sa ht67), 2 bookshelf speakers (Boston Acoustics HD5) and a sub-woofer (not sure of the brand, I think it is Panasonic as well) from a friend. My first question has to do with the receiver. The reason why my friend gave it to me was because it did not have a remote, and that was needed to activate the surround speakers, so he replaced his reciever and gave me the old one. Now I would like to be able to activate any speakers I add, but the OEM remote control seems to be on the expensive side on most websites. My question is, can this receiver be controlled by a universal remote (and it must be able to activate the speakers)? Such as this one: http://www.amazon.com/URC-Universal-Control-Components-Favorite/dp/B001KC08A4
My second question has to do with the surround speakers. From my research, I have found that having identical speakers for the rear to the front is always ideal for a setup. However, I cannot find identical Boston Acoustics HD5s anywhere on the internet, or nearby. Since I am a little impatient, I was wondering if having a pair of similar speakers would suffice as I am not an audiophile, such as these: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-SS-B1000-4-Inch-Bookshelf-Speakers/dp/B000OG88KY/ref=sr_1_32?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1356448570&sr=1-32&keywords=center+rear+home+theater+speakers
The woofers are the exact same size as the Boston Acoustics, although the tweeter and response ranges differ, would the speakers sound similar enough to where the sound difference isn't very noticeable?
These also seem to be an option as the response range is closer to being what the Bostons are, even though the woofer size is different:
http://www.amazon.com/Dayton-B652-2-Inch-Bookshelf-Speaker/dp/B002RMPHMU/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1356450985&sr=1-2&keywords=bookshelf+speaker
or maybe, even, these:

Considering the center speaker serves an entirely different function from the rest, I am not worried if it is identical or not.
Any help is appreciated!
