That's clearly what happened - the kid didn't actually piss on camera. But this is still a weird turn for the thread...

I have an idea: why don't we "elevate" this thread to this level and we can get this thread locked too.

To post in this thread you've better eat your minerals, 'cause I think it's gonna get rough.

yeah, i'd rather hear about what was actually changed instead of why it was changed, or why we shouldn't watch that. Once its revealed what actually changed, the thread could die.

And i did find a copy of the old sku at entertainmart, a used and new store here, they had 2 left. The best buy i was at had like 40 copies of eurotrip, so i figured they were all new skus and they were. Tomorrow I'll have to take back the one i bought at best buy.

I wonder if stock at Blockbuster (the stores that carry WS Unrated) is being replaced as well.

I sincerely wanna hope that nothing was actually removed. Even though I wasn't overly impressed with the film, I don't like to see censorship of something so comparitively trivial, so I'm hoping it's just a technical recall or some such. The quietly surreptitious nature of the switch is a little unsettling, though.

Shane's right. Guess we'll have to wait and see if an HTF contributor watched one of the new versions before we can really begin to care. An acquaintance of mine actually picked up a copy in the states last night, but I'm not sure what SKU he got or even if he'd know what changes to look for. Maybe I'll check with him tonight about the now-infamous wee-wee scene.

As Patrick Sun mentioned in the previous thread, perhaps its time to head over to Best Buy (or wherever). The darn thing might turn into hot property if it turns out something was cut! ;)

My nearby Best Buy had plenty of the old version SKU, so I passed on getting it yesterday, but then I thought better of it, and while in Target during lunch today, I bought a copy with the old SKU, though there were copies with the new SKU on it already on the shelves at Target.

I have 90 days to return it if it's been determined that there's no differences between to the 2 SKUs.

After reading this thread, I went back and watched the DVD and honestly, there is nothing there to warrant a recall, content wise.

The two scenes discussed are both in the R rated theatrical cut as well. Those weren't recalled, were they?

My guess is it was more of a disc error than anything controversial being removed.

On my copy, on a few extras, you hear the voice of the angel (Banya from SEINFELD) when you click on a few of the features. But, it only worked on a couple of the extras. Maybe it was supposed to be used more?

I sent Dreamworks an e-mail asking about the changes and here's their reply:

To answer your question, initially the "Green Fairy" could only be heard and not seen in portions of the menus. We updated the menus so that the "Green Fairy" was visually represented whenever the character's audio played.

That seems a bit minor to warrant going through the trouble, but whatever. I just got finished watching it. Mildly amusing. More penis than any porno I can remember.

I agree that it seems like a lot of work for such a minor menu issue, but I'm glad that they cared enough about the product to actually go through all that work. I wish all the studios showed that level of commitment to putting out a quality product.

The question is whether anybody noticed the difference. I thought the Green Fairy's comments were only supposed to be audio bits - I had no idea we were supposed to have visuals as well!
