DVD player skipping problems due to reciever? (1 Viewer)

I just put in a DD and DTS system and reciever in my room and since doin that a couple days ago, skipping problems have started with my player. Every 3 minutes or so, a tiny skip will occur. This happens with all movies, and never did it once before I put in the home theater. What is your take on this and how can I fix this? Thanks.

Two questions:
Is it skipping at the same point each time?
Have you placed the player too close to any of your speakers or maybe your subwoofer?

I really need someone to answer this. It is now happening more fequently. It skips like once every 45 seconds now. HELP

Thanks Dave. It is skipping at different places everytime. My DVD player is right above my center speaker.

First I'd try to isolate the DVD player from vibrations to see if it helps. It could also be the digital cable. And you're right sometimes it's a incompatable receiver for a particular DVD player. Test time!
