Is it poor practice to put the DVD on top of the RPTV? This would be the best way for me to minimize the length of my component cables for my particular setup. Just doing a little planning before I receive my set.

might be distracting in a dark room while watching a movie. also, might warp the rptv case and screen. you could try it using a very stiff board as a shelf to help spread out the weight.
