Man These are very good!

I just semi-finished these and I'm in about 3600 cu.ft open to another 2500 cu.ft and these can pound, I had been missing a LOT of lows with my sealed 12" Peerless speakers, but these can get down low, loud too! I measeured 112dbC on the RS meter at 20 Hz 11 ft at my seat on a tripod! Same at 19 Hz. I ran a sweep and they seem to be tuned to 18-20 Hz. I cut the 4" Flared center to 6.5" for a total of 12.27".

With correction at 20 Hz these can do 119.5 db, at my seat:D

Anyway, I have to say thanks! to everyone, Lots of great posts.

Here's some pics ( I think,)

Thanks,

The ceiling and walls are done with 1" air-duct sound board put up with plastic snap track for drop ceiling tiles, I don't have any noise from them.

Darryl, now the important question: where can you get it & how much? :)

Nice stuff you got going on in there!!!

Thanks,

The name of the insulation is Manson Akousti-Liner R™( 1"x24"x48" )
http://www.mgicanada.com/manson_alr.htm

I phoned an insulation company in Nova Scotia and had it shipped to me, it was 192 sq ft per box, so I got the last three boxes he had for $600 C including shipping. This was enough to do the whole ceiling and front wall, and side walls up to 42".

The snap track I picked up at the building supply store, I think its discountinued, I paid $40 for more than enough track and clips. I used a heat gun to melt and bend the clips to 90o to screw it on the wall.

Just an amazing amount of work you have put into your theater. Very very sharp and now you have the bass you apparently ;) craved, and plently of it.

Very nice, very impressive, you should be beer=:D pround! I am sure many hope to have something similar to what you have done, "someday"...

I speak to the (entire theater project) and not just your very "nicley done" monster subs.
Many :emoji_thumbsup: ups!!!!

Regards
Geoff
