Hello,

I have a Toshiba DLP 62HM84. I have had for about three weeks and recently noticed a grey or light spot just below the center of the screen. I can only see it when there is a black backgroung and it appears lighter than the rest of the screen. It is about the size of a dime and not a perfect cirlce. You can see it on all channels and video.

It looks like a spot you would see on a tinted car window that has some peeling off.

Any ideas on what it is and how to fix it?

Thanks,

If it's not the screen itself it sounds like the innards could use some cleaning. Not sure how to go about this, but I would think something like compressed air can remove a dust blob (if that's your problem).

Have ya posted on the Toshiba forum at www.hometheaterspot.com?

They have lots of folks around there who are pro calibrators etc...they may offer quicker answers there.
