I have Dish network right night. I am looking to upgrade to HD. My tv is HD-ready and I have the 2nd dish to get the channels. I remember reading that I have to get a new receiver. But, I live in Monmouth cty NJ. Which is about 50 miles south of NYC. To get the locals(ABC,Fox,etc) I was told I have to get a seperate antenna. Well, I just got off the phone with a rep a dish and she says I don't need a seperate antenna. Who's right and what do I need? And does anyone know how good reception is if I do need an off the air antenna?

You need a seperate antenna for OTA if you want to receive OTA broadcasts.

Only WCBS-DT is available via Dish. So for ABC, NBC, Faux (oops I meant Fox) you will indeed need the antenna.

Cheers,
