I just got back from Washington DC (school function) and I was very impressed with JetBLUE's use of DIRECTV in EVERY SEAT. Every seat has an ~ 5" monitor on the seatback in front of them and on the runway and all during flight... you can watch 24 channels of DIRECTV for FREE. For the record... on the way there I watched the CURLING FINALS and on the way back I was watching IRON CHEF and JUNKYARD WARS.

Anyways... I was wondering... does anyone know how this technology works? How can you get LIVE SATELITE TV on an airplane? (not that I am complaining

When they start flying Seattle to San Francisco (or Oakland) I'll start flying it. I was impressed that a round trip ticket to JFK was $228!
