It’s tempting.

I’ve bought it so many times and formats.

laserdisc,2 versions, the separate laser with the shorts on it.
The dvd, the Blu-ray.
watched it on D+.

Saw it at the movies a dozen times that year.

Vacation
National Lampoon’s Vacation
The Money Pit
20000 Leagues Under the Sea

Still a few more I have my eye on, so maybe this weekend. Not sure yet.

I just blind-bought The Two Jakes for a measly $3.99 on iTunes. I don't know why I've never had the desire to see the film, considering how much I liked Chinatown. So after checking out an old Siskel&Ebert TV review which got two thumbs up, I decided what the hell, I can't go wrong at that price.

By the way, I had no idea there was a website that archives a boatload of Siskel and Ebert shows throughout the years. I was going to list the link but I'm not sure if those shows are under copyright or not.

Oh, better than that go to YouTube and search for "Siskel and Ebert outtakes." That stuff is GOLD.

I have never seen The Two Jakes, either, but at $4 decided to give it a shot, too. I love Chinatown, and this sequel does have an impressive cast.

I have been watching the price on Those Jake fellows for a little while.
Been bouncing up and down from $4 to $7.

Still haven’t pulled the trigger..

Also I saw that the last three Super Bowl highlight videos are $5 on Vudu.

I put the Eagle’s in my cart and it gave me a $1.50 discount, not sure what that was for.

Many of us found it kinda meh (over in the dedicated thread).

IF you have CBS All Access, you can just watch it there before deciding -- that's what I did a while back. No idea how much longer it'll stay on there. It's apparently currently also on Amazon Prime.

I always seem to forget to look there. Oh, well, it was only four bucks. I watched the film last night, and it wasn't bad, but paled in comparison to Chinatown, IMO. It was a solid cast with Nicholson, Harvey Keitel, Meg Tily, Madeline Stowe and Eli Wallach, but the plot was pretty convoluted.
