Computer Desk stereo speakers - advice please (1 Viewer)

The Swans look very nice. I just picked up the Harman Kardon Soundsticks II at Costco for 120.00. I was looking at the Klipsch 2.1 but was a little concerned about the lifespan of the sub. I'm pleased with the Soundsticks, though the volume controls are too close to the base so when I adjust the placement I too easily hit the controls. Nothing a couple swatches of clear duct tape can't remedy

edit: oh, I see that you don't want powered speakers. in that case, the sky's the limit. there are oodles of small bookshelves available out there.
