Can most UC dvd players be set to 480P if I need it? (1 Viewer)

My friend has a Fujitsi plasma that has a faroudja upscaling chip in it. So he needs a player with HDMI outputs that will allow the TV to upscale.

If your friend would like the Fujitsu to perform 100% of the video scaling, the Oppo 970 and Denon DVD-2930CI are capable of 480i over HDMI. I'd suggest reading this thread for recommendations on video scaling, as the ideal SD player will output 480i before being scaled:

That being said, you'll want to check if the Fujitsu is capable of accepting 480i over HDMI. If not, there are plenty of DVD players on the market capable of 480p over HDMI.
