One last update. I called over and over, eventually I decided to actually go there, which I did and finally found someone to help me. They discovered that (surprise) it had never been rung through. I had foolishly left my receipts at work, so I zipped back to get them and burst through the doors at Best Buy 10 minutes later. I then discovered that the guy I was talking to had just left for the day. I was about to scream when someone told me that the last guy left instructions for him to escort me to the service desk. And so the end of a long sordid nightmare was brought to a close. So now I have a new tv that rocks, and I don't have to worry about what Best Buy warrenties do and do not cover. The answer is that if the repair will cost more than the warrenty, they wont cover it. So obviously you're better off without it.
