I enjoyed the movie in a theater. Thought the sound was only so so. Of course all the sound in that theater is so so at best. Looking forward to hearing it for real :)

Fair question. I don't know why Ned deleted the text from his first post, but the film is Master & Commander. IIRC, the scene is near the beginning with canons being fired.
(I haven't seen the film, but that's what Ned posted originally.)

Woops. Forgot to leave that info in.

This is from the first battle scene in Master and Commander. There is similar bass in many other spots and even in quieter scenes there is the occasional gust of wind or rolling wave that registers in the 7-12hz range.

Yeah, but that movie really blows......Maybe a rental at best. I'm getting sick of the studio's getting "popular" actors to populate poor films. Didn't hold my interest at all....
