Are there any packages that have just speakers? (1 Viewer)

I a DVD player, and decent receiver, and I have no speakers.

I don't have a lot of money now, so I don't need loud ones, or permanant ones, but I would like enough to make surround sound.

I've noticed the speakers that come in all-in-one systems, and those would probably be fine. But they all come with a DVD player, a receiver, or both. Are there any packages just like those that have those 5 speakers, especially for a good value?

If not, what's the best way to go?

I'm not sure just how good they will be, but probably the best you'll find for your budget.

only speaker package i'd actually recommend would be the JBL NSP-1 (~$275 at etronics.com).

I've never heard of HTD speakers before, are they a good brand?

If I wanted to look for more stuff on ebay or something, I'm not sure what to search under to get what I'm looking for. Any other suggestions are still welcome too.

Lanny, I would highly suggest just saving up a little more and getting the JBL NSP-1 package. Personnaly I have not heard them, but they are extremely well thought of! They do not come with a sub, but you could always save a little more for the Sony SA-WM40, which gets rave reviews as a budget sub!
