I was just wondering if any new units were coming down the pipeline anytime soon. I'm looking at the Kenwood DV-5050 or 5900 but have been reading about some poor GUI issues. If something new is coming soon I'd like to wait....if not I think I'll decide on one of these two.

I had a 5900 and returned it. It's much too slow and the random problems drove me nuts. I'm going to wait a while longer myself.

Nothing new mentioned that I've heard of.

The Kenwood 5900M received a great review in Stereophile's Guide to Home Theater.

The GUI needs a little work, but thank goodness it is upgradeable.

I have a 5900M and didn't return it.

Despite its GUI flaws, it still is one high-performing, very convenient, great-looking unit.

Plus, it's the ONLY mega-changer on the market that includes support for DVD-Audio.

Plus, it's one of the ONLY DVD-A players (changer or not) that has BASS MANAGEMENT for DVD-Audio.
