Saw some 12 guage AR Home Theater Pro Series cable at Lowes on clearance and want to know if this cable is good stuff or not. It looks like Monster and its Oxgen-free copper what ever that means. I want to use it for my mains and center channel speakers.
By the way does anyone know a retailer that sells speaker cable that is certified to go into the wall in attic?

Alan, AR cable is good. I have no problems with it. They also make in-wall CL-3 rated wiring that you can get from www.audioadvisor.com. This past winter, I rewired my first floor with the 14-4 (4 conductors in one bundle thus support for two speakers) AR in-wall wiring. At 50 cents a foot, it's not bad. Many people also use the in-wall 12 gauge stuff Home Depot carries. It is cheaper I believe.
good luck,
