Hi im new here and to this whole widescreen tv thing. I just purchased a Samsung TXN2670WH 26" HDTV widescreen.
It has display mode such as 16:9, panorama, zoom, 4:3.
My question is when I watch DVD why is the movie still stretched horizontally (TV is set to 16:9 display)?
I know about dvd aspect ratio, the bigger the ratio the wider the black bars, right. But are the people on the movie supposed look fat/flat compared to 4:3 display?
And when watching broadcast TV I assume I need to subscribe/pick up HDTV signal in order to view it without stretch in 16:9, is that correct?
Thanks alot in advance!
