Not really, considering that seems to be happening a bit these days -- Hellboy, Elektra, Daredevil, etc.

I love Sky Captain. A fascinating extra to add in future editions of this film is the entire film on disc two but without the CG backdrops, sets and effects. Just the actors reacting to blue/green sets.

To be honest, I'm not sure there is anything that could really be added that would call for a new version of the DVD.

I understand this is an aquired taste, but for those of us out there who "get it", really enjoy it.
